We were having a great time with this activity before the Quarantine. The children really enjoyed the lessons and activities. Several of my female students talked about how they felt they could do important things while reading about other successful females.

I have an “Amazing Black People” wall in my homeschool room that I switch out every month. These go along perfectly with the book and make it easy for me to switch out the wall, even at the last minute. My daughter enjoys the pictures, information page and has started using the writing pages for monthly presentations and lapbooks.

I was not about to recreate the wheel. This is a pricey bundle, but I have to value my time. It is student centered! I love that it gives students options for projects, provides a bio, and posters for a quick look. One thing I added on my own was a Google Form. I wanted to know who everyone was researching. 28.6% of my class chose Mary Bowser; she’s a spy! Thanks for creating this. My local library has a digital version of the book “Black Bold Women in History”; I love the illustrations from it, so it will be a great addition to this resource.
