Our kids have a lot of trauma they bring to school and it deeply affects the learning in our class. I felt a bit desperate for ideas to get at the bully self talk after Christmas break. I have been putting one of these mindset phrases up each week and we review them and use them for community circle discussion. What meaningful sharing we’ve had! Students have really opened up about fears around academics and their personal lives. When I hear negative self talk, I have these phrases to refer to and help the kids find healthier things to say as they approach their work. Working in a stressful, high needs school, I appreciate all the creative TPT friends who make my job easier. Thanks for this lovely resource.

This was a great resource to use with my students. It was a good reminder throughout the school year of all the things we’ve discussed and learned about.

This is a great set of posters. I am about to start a new school year and intend on applying this straight away to create a positive growth mind set among my students. Love the idea of students nominating each other using the growth mindset. Bright and colourful which will be great in my class. Thank you for this!
