Genres of Literature Task Cards and Posters Activities:
These genres of literature task cards and instructional anchor charts posters are standards-aligned for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade and include the following genres of literature:
- biography
- autobiography
- narrative non-fiction
- expository non-fiction
- fairy tales
- fantasy
- folk tales
- science fiction
- historical fiction
- fables, poetry
- tall tales
- realistic fiction
This product includes the following:
- 13 genres of literature anchor charts that can be copied and displayed on the wall for student reference throughout the year (each card includes a description of the given genre)
- 36 task cards (with three different question types)
- an answer sheet
- an answer key

This is a great resource for ELA teachers! The colors make something they think is boring a little more fun and the definitions are very kid friendly. I wish that I had blown them up and printed them bigger though. The text is a bit hard to read for the kids when they’re in their seats and the definitions are on the wall.
